This is an unusual 8-1/4 x 11-3/4 inch letter dated 12 August 1938 from the publishing firm of Erwin Jäger of Berlin, publisher of the widely used Reichs-Handbuch (Travel Guide to Grossdeutschland). It is addressed to Mr. Professor Dr. Ernst Hermann of Wien (Vienna, the second largest city in Hitler’s Greater Germany).

The Jäger company was interested in acquiring the services of the Professor to write travel material about the newly incorporated Austrian Lands that would be included in the next editions of Jäger’s travel publications. Good used condition with a pencil note on the back in shorthand.
